The Wesley Research Institute (WRI) is a not-for-profit, independent medical research facility based at The Wesley Hospital in Queensland.  WRI provides scientific, administrative and financial support for research programs into improved patient care.  Major research areas focus on cancer, cardiovascular, diabetes, men's health, neurology, obesity, rehabilitation, respiratory, seniors' health, tissue bank, women's health and wound & bone healing.

The Wesley Research Institute also runs a Clinical Trials Centre and Queensland's only registered tissue bank for the collection and storage of breast cancer and prostate cancer tissue samples.

WRI helps make a difference to the community through medical research that leads to faster, more accurate diagnoses, fewer and less severe side effects, and new treatmenrts for quicker, improved recovery.
