SANE Australia SANE Australia, is a national mental health charity, working for a better life for people affected by mental illness through education, research and campaigning.

SANE operates the only national 1800 Helpline and Helpline Online on mental illness: 1800 18 SANE, an award winning website www.sane.org

The SANE Media Centre, incorporating the award-winning StigmaWatch program, works to reduce stigma associated with mental illness and suicide in the media, which discourages people from seeking help.

SANE also conducts the national Mental Illness and Bereavement project, which is just one of SANE's range of suicide prevention activities.
